Volume and scientific units
Convert volume, pressure, energy or speed within the same physical quantity. Select the quantity first, then choose both units again.
First identify whether you are measuring length, floor area, wall area or materials, then use consistent units.
The ping converter converts area units only. The room tool calculates floors and walls excluding openings. Paint also needs coat count, product coverage and can size. Electricity use gives kWh; appliance costs additionally need your unit price.
Do not substitute floor area for wall area or assume the same coverage for every product. An example electricity price does not reproduce a household tiered bill.

Estimate tile pieces and whole boxes for a measured area. Choose a waste allowance for your own layout.
Estimate strips and rolls for walls of the same height. Include trimming and an optional straight-match vertical repeat.
Estimate paint volume and whole cans for one product. Calculate primer and topcoat separately when their coverage differs.
