Example result

Monthly travel savings

4,000TWD/month

Works backward from the remaining budget to monthly savings. Do not add foreign currency costs already counted above.

Total travel budget30,000 TWD
Amount already saved6,000 TWD
Shortfall24,000 TWD

Does not assume typical travel prices or interest. Works backward from one-time travel expenses to monthly savings.

Method and scope

Monthly saving equals the unfunded budget divided by remaining months, floored at zero. Foreign mode adds foreign amount times the entered exchange rate times (1 plus fee rate) once to the budget.

The result is a plan using your own prices and exchange-rate assumption. Already funded travel needs no additional monthly saving.

Do not repeat a foreign expense already included in the main budget. Prices and rates are not live, and savings interest is excluded.

What this helps you do

Combine a trip budget and the monthly amount still to save. Optional foreign-currency mode adds a separately entered foreign expense.

What to enter

Start with transport budget (twd), then fill the other relevant fields in the units shown. Available calculations are TWD travel budget, Add a separate foreign-currency cost.

How the calculation works

Monthly saving equals the unfunded budget divided by remaining months, floored at zero. Foreign mode adds foreign amount times the entered exchange rate times (1 plus fee rate) once to the budget.

Worked example

A TWD 60,000 budget with TWD 24,000 saved and six months remaining requires TWD 6,000 monthly. An extra 100 foreign units at TWD 32 and a 1% fee adds TWD 3,232.

Understanding the answer

The result is a plan using your own prices and exchange-rate assumption. Already funded travel needs no additional monthly saving.

Scope and limitations

Do not repeat a foreign expense already included in the main budget. Prices and rates are not live, and savings interest is excluded.
