Daily protein grams from a confirmed per-kg target

Convert your confirmed daily protein target per kilogram into total grams. This tool does not choose your needs; leave unknown intake blank.

Start with your own numbers

Editable example

An example is filled in. Replace it with your own data to calculate.

Confirm the calculation weight and daily target per kilogram, then fill the first two fields. Fill the third only if total daily intake is known. The synthetic example of 60 kg and 1.2 demonstrates multiplication; it is not your dietary prescription.

60 means 60 kg. Use the actual or reference weight confirmed for your plan by a qualified professional. This tool does not choose the appropriate body weight. Input range: 1–500 kg, up to three decimal places.
If your confirmed daily target is 1.2 g per kilogram, enter 1.2, not 120 or 1.2%. The example 1.2 is synthetic, not a recommendation. Confirm an unknown target first. The input range 0.01–10 is a software limit, not a safety range.
Enter protein grams from all foods for the same whole day, if known. Leave blank if unknown; enter zero only when explicitly known. Do not enter the weight of meat, protein powder or whole food, and do not infer protein from calories.

Results update when inputs are complete. A plan is kept only when you save it. Inputs and results are not uploaded.

Example result

Daily protein from your entered target (not a prescription)

72g/day

The main answer is total protein grams for the whole day under your entered target. It is not meat or protein-powder weight, or an extra amount to add. The difference only compares numbers: a positive value does not prescribe a supplement and a negative value does not diagnose excess.

Calculation weight60 kg
Entered daily target per kilogram1.2 g/kg/day
Current intake and differenceNot entered; difference unknown

Worked steps

  1. 60 × 1.2 = 72

Daily arithmetic target = calculation weight in kg × confirmed grams per kg per day. If intake is entered, difference = target minus entered intake. Positive means the entered intake is smaller, negative means larger, and zero means equal. Blank intake leaves the difference unknown. The main answer is displayed to 0.01 g. Differences retain up to six decimal places so a tiny difference does not display as zero. Display precision is not biological or food-label accuracy. Total daily protein includes all foods; it is not an amount to obtain entirely from supplements. This tool only converts a known target; it does not prescribe or validate nutritional needs. Children, pregnancy, breastfeeding, kidney disease and other special situations require an individually confirmed plan from a physician or dietitian. Confirm an unknown target or calculation weight before using the tool; do not change a medical diet based on this result.

Method and scope

What this tool helps you do

Convert an already-confirmed g/kg/day target into daily protein grams and optionally compare a known daily intake. This tool does not choose a personalized target for training, weight loss or disease. Use the related recipe nutrition tool to total food-label amounts.

What to enter

Use kilograms for calculation weight and g/kg/day for the confirmed target, with at most three decimal places. Confirm whether actual or reference body weight is appropriate. The optional third field is protein grams from the same whole day: blank is unknown and zero must be explicit. Software limits are not recommendations or safety limits.

How it is calculated

Daily arithmetic target = calculation weight in kg × confirmed grams per kg per day. If intake is entered, difference = target minus entered intake. Positive means the entered intake is smaller, negative means larger, and zero means equal. Blank intake leaves the difference unknown.

Worked example

Synthetic example: a confirmed calculation weight of 60 kg and target of 1.2 g/kg/day give 60 × 1.2 = 72 g/day. A known intake of 50 g leaves an arithmetic difference of 22 g. This does not tell you to add 22 g of protein powder or promise changes in muscle or body fat.

Understanding the answer

The main answer is displayed to 0.01 g. Differences retain up to six decimal places so a tiny difference does not display as zero. Display precision is not biological or food-label accuracy. Total daily protein includes all foods; it is not an amount to obtain entirely from supplements.

Scope and limitations

Children, pregnancy, breastfeeding, kidney disease and other special situations require an individually confirmed plan from a physician or dietitian.
