This is a rough adult reference, not a target you must reach. Food and other drinks contain water too; do not drink a large amount at once.
Taipei health authorities describe 30–35 mL per kilogram as a general adult estimate, not a personal prescription or mandatory target. If you have an illness or fluid restriction, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are under 18, ask a medical professional instead. Food and other drinks contain water; activity, weather and health affect needs. Drink gradually, not a large amount at once. The HPA's general 6–8 cups (240 mL each) is a separate reference.

Estimate a general adult daily drinking range from body weight; this is not a personal medical target.
Enter body weight in kilograms and your cup or bottle capacity in millilitres.
For 60 kg and a 250 mL cup, the formula gives 1,800–2,100 mL, or about 7.2–8.4 cups.
Multiply kilograms by 30 and 35 for the two endpoints, then divide each by cup capacity.
The result is a rough reference, not an instruction to force yourself to drink. Food and other drinks also contain water.
Ask a medical professional if you have a condition, fluid restriction, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or are under 18. Needs vary with activity and weather; avoid drinking a large amount at once.
