Calculate statutory share fractions in a basic Taiwan inheritance scenario once the spouse and eligible class are confirmed.
Choose whether a spouse is eligible, select the confirmed blood-relative class and enter how many eligible heirs are in it, excluding the spouse.
For example, if a spouse and 2 children are all eligible and no special circumstances apply, each has a basic statutory share of 1/3 of the estate.
For example, a spouse and 2 eligible children each receive 1/3. The spouse receives one half with the second or third class, or two thirds with the fourth. If there are no other eligible heirs, the spouse receives the whole estate.
The result is a basic share percentage, not a determination of eligibility or amount payable.
Representation, wills, reserved shares, debt, prior gifts, marital property and cross-border issues are outside scope. Consult a qualified professional.
