Example result

Sum of three outside dimensions

115cm

This compares only the limits you enter, not weight, item count or airline rules; an empty limit is not a pass.

Sum limitNot provided, not checked
Three side limitsNot provided, not checked

Worked steps

  1. 55 + 35 + 25 = 115

Measure all three outside dimensions in the same unit, including wheels, handles and protrusions. Enter limits from your actual airline, route, cabin and baggage type. Enter all three side limits together or leave them blank. Side comparison sorts the dimensions to model rotation; a carrier may require a particular orientation or impose other rules. An empty limit is not checked. Weight, number of pieces, contents, shape and staff decisions are not checked, so this does not guarantee boarding or free checked baggage.

Method and scope

Enter dimensions and optional limits in the same chosen unit. An empty limit is unknown, not a pass.

Single-side limits are sorted to allow mathematical rotation. Airlines may require a specific orientation and have weight, item, shape and other rules not checked here.

Purpose

Add suitcase exterior dimensions and compare only with the limits you choose to enter.

What to enter

Measure all three outside dimensions including protruding wheels and handles. Use one unit for all values.

How it works

Add the three sides. When all side limits are entered, compare the sorted dimensions against sorted limits.

Example

A case measuring 55 × 35 × 25 cm totals 115 cm; compare it with your own airline and fare limits.

Reading the result

An entered limit can be within or over that value. A blank limit is not checked and cannot be called a pass.

Limits

This checks only the entered dimensions, not weight, number, contents, shape or airline approval. Verify the current rules for your itinerary.
